Grassroots environmental organizations require websites, software, computer and technology skills. But there is a huge digital divide – most do not have the budget, staff or expertise to acquire and maintain these assets.1

Travler impacts sustainability projects in many ways
Supporting families
For Entreamigos – a community center, library, food bank and recycling service – Travler manages a website and email that reach thousands of visitors and hundreds of donors per year. We also provide tech support, teach technology and recycling classes, and help maintain playgrounds and facilities.
Protecting marine turtles
Project Tortuga is an acclaimed NGO that conserves endangered marine turtles. They rely on Travler for their online assets, digital security, computer tech support, operational advice and field work. Along with its volunteers, Travler has helped Project Tortuga protect over 120,000 marine turtles since 2017.
Promoting animal rescue
San Pancho Animales is a dynamic volunteer group which rescues, treats, or places up to 700 stray animals per year. They rely on Travler to design and host their website, enabling them to connect with countless donors and volunteers.
Raising awareness for recycling
Travler boosts ERC, a fledgling non-profit recycling center and reclaimed book store by providing their website, marketing materials and tech support.
Deploying handwashing stations
To help reduce communicable diseases, Travler designed, deployed and maintained portable handwashing stations built from recycled materials to parks, plazas, playgrounds, a hospital and other public areas in San Pancho and Sayulita.
Building a public garden
Working with volunteers, Entreamigos and LILHA, Travler brought in heavy equipment to remove 5 truckloads of debris and installed running water to convert an ugly trash dump into a thriving community garden.
Powering community radio
Radio San Pancho, an online radio station that mixes music with local interviews, podcasts, news and events, relies on Travler to enable streaming media and operate their website to reach listeners across Mexico.
Publishing a local magazine
Travler helped community groups consolidate multiple chat channels by publishing San Pancho Voz, a bilingual online magazine created to connect residents, businesses and tourists. Travler leveraged San Pancho Voz, which has logged over 1,600 readers per month, to teach online journalism and digital publishing skills to local youth.
Travler, Inc. is a 510(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the USA. Donations to Travler are tax-deductible and applied to the sustainability projects we support.
